The following 6-minute video presents a series of infographics on the distribution of wealth in America, highlighting our growing inequality and the gap between our perception and reality.

• "1% of America has 40% of the nation's wealth. The bottom 80% only has 7%."

• "The richest 1% take home 24% of the national income today. In 1976, they took home only 9%, meaning their share of income has nearly tripled [since then]."

• "The top 1% own 50% the country's stocks, bonds and mutual funds. The bottom 50% own only 0.5% of these investments."

The narrator says, "All we need to do is wake up and realize the reality in this country is not at all what we think it is."
